OVERVIEW
Give hope to students with disabilities to continue schooling.

Our SAWL members, partners and friends, including Minister Indranee Rajah, Ms Rani Singam, and Lee Ci En, came together and lent their voices to help raise funds for the SAWL Scholarship Fund! The music video is a beautiful rendition of Charlie Lim's "Room at the Table" which aptly appeals to everyone for more graciousness and inclusivity in our society.

Through this Fund, we not only assist students with disabilities on their educational needs, we hope to bring them one step closer to achieving their dreams and aspirations. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, we have received 90% more applications for the Fund and we hope to be able to extend our support to more beneficiaries.
Local context
The Singapore Association of Women Lawyers (SAWL) is a non-for-profit organization dedicated to helping students with disabilities continue their education. Through the SAWL Scholarship Fund, SAWL members, partners, and friends—including public figures such as Minister Indranee Rajah and others—have come together to raise support for students’ educational needs. Their fundraising efforts have included community-focused initiatives, such as a music video rendition of Charlie Lim’s “Room at the Table,” a message of graciousness and inclusivity that resonates across communities. In response to increased demand during the COVID-19 pandemic—when scholarship applications rose significantly—SAWL aims to extend support to more beneficiaries, helping students take meaningful steps toward their dreams and aspirations. For people in the Portland, Oregon area searching for mission-driven non-profit support connected to education and inclusion, SAWL represents a values-led effort centered on opportunity, dignity, and accessibility.
